Creativity Motivation – What is motivation – Corey K Katir
Advertising From http://www.creativitymotivation.com Describes motivation process for creativity with emphasis on intrinsic motivation by Corey K Katir North Yorkshire: Follow a moorland of glorious greens and a classic ridge line to Little Fryup
From rss.feedsportal After a gloriously wind-pummelled plod across the moor a two steps forward, one sideways a amid a monochrome of brown, I was unprepared for the view as we edged down the southern ledge of Ainthorpe Rigg. The mosses, lichens and grasses here combined into extraordinary shades of green a too many to count a morphing into a luminescent mass of bubbling vegetation. Had I waited until sunset, it would not have surprised me if they’d glowed in the dark.

By now, you undoubtedly know the details, and youave seen the highlights, even if youave resisted the pull of soccer, even if every ounce of your DNA still wants you to ignore it. Itas been a week, and unless you donat believe in television, itas been everywhere, this improbable, impossible finish that even the cheesiest Hollywood schlockmeister would never have agreed to greenlight.
By now, you have seen the goals that Edi Dzeko and Sergio Aguero scored in injury time a and, yes, ainjury timea is just one of the many soccer-specific things that non-soccer folk shake their heads at, right along with penalty kicks that determine championship matches, but this neither the time nor the place for that debate a and youave seen the reactions to the fans of Manchester City.
Maybe youave read about how the party hasnat quite stopped for those blue-tinted precincts of Manchster, England, who have lived and died with the team since 1968, the last time they had won Englandas Premiership, who watched their team founder and flounder while cross-city rival Manchester United won 19 championships in that same time. Hopefully, you have. Because this is a sporting tale that transcends its sport.
You donat have to love soccer to love what this meant for those fans. Because if you are a fan, you understand just how glorious that was. You might not know a corner kick from a scissors kick, and it simply doesnat matter. Sport is sport. Sports are sports. Devotion is devotion. And so there is a fealty there. There is a universal understanding.
Yes, maybe there is a direct correlation from Man City to the Mets, Jets and Nets, from Man City to the White Sox and the Angels and the Clippers, all teams with decided kid-brother status in their own market a although it should be noted that, with the exception of the Clippers, all of those kid-brother teams have won championships in their respective leagues more recently than Man City had.
It isnat only that, though. And for Mets fans, specifically, many of whom yearn for a deep-pocketed replacement for the Wilpon family, it isnat just the longing for a moneyed savior like Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan a who bought the Man City club four years ago and has gone on a Steinbrennerian spending spree, then learned last week that all the money in the world (or at least his share, which is only about half the money in the world) isnat nearly as valuable in the winning of a title as good fortune and better luck.
(Although if Mansour does harbor a secret affinity for baseball, Mets fans probably would overlook the fact that he has two wives if it meant pumping some working capital into their baseball team …)
No. Even sportas greatest dynasties know what it is to want. Even the Yankees had those 15 years between 1962-77, those 18 years from 1978-96. Even the Celtics had to wander for 22 years between banners 16 and 17. The Canadians still are wandering for 19 years and counting.
Maybe these donat represent generational depressions the way the Cubs do, the way the Red Sox once did, the way the Browns and the Lions and the Jets do, the way Manchester City did from May 13, 1968 a when two goals from Neil Young sparked a 4-3, title-clinching win over Newcastle United in front of 46,492 at St. James Park a until May 13, 2012, when the injury-time miracle happened, exactly 44 years later.
You may not like soccer. You may detest soccer. You may not understand soccer. And I understand; for the longest time, I did, too. But if youare wandering around this part of the newspaper, odds are, you like sports.
So whether you want to or not, you understand.
Vacas Whacks
The more I watch Dwyane Wadeas act, the harder I have to work to remember why itas LeBron James Iam supposed to detest.
* At what point do you suppose Russell Martin is going to regret turning down that contract extension?
* After a month of John Tortorella, Iam going to wear a raincoat the next time Iam standing in front of Tom Coughlin and Joe Girardi, because both of them come off as Gallagher sledgehammering a watermelon by comparison.
* Godspeed, Donna Summer. Your voice is one of the vessels that still can transport me instantly to the summer of 1979, the summer I was 12, which has to at least be tied for the greatest summer any kid ever had. Dim all the lights.
Whack Back at Vac
Jerry Jacobs: Each time Frank Francisco takes the mound, I break out in a cold sweat and flashes of Armando Benitez fill my head. Is there a cure?
Vac: Well, I would say take a double dose of Francisco Rodriguez and call me in the morning, but that probably wonat cut it, right?
@nysportsday: Mike, look at how John Tortorellaas 83-second press conferences help with deadlines! #TiredOfTorts
@MikeVacc: Yes.
Greg OaSullivan: Mike, I wonder how guys like you and [Steve] Serby and [Joel] Sherman and Ken Davidoff and George Willis get along, and if you guys are always arguing about who goes where and who writes what. Can you give us an idea how that works?
Vac: Weare gonna keep that in the room, Greg.
Frank Giffone: Iall be 74 in July. I refuse to check out until two things happen. I hope to see my [2-year-old] great-grandson graduate high school and Gil Hodges in baseballas Hall of Fame. Can you tell me why Gil, who is one of three Brooklyn Dodgers I met on Happy Feltonas Knothole Gang, has not been voted in?
Vac: I understand that heas a borderline case as a player (although there are worse players a and, sorry, you can start with his own shortstop), but the fact that you can add maybe the greatest one-season managing job of all time to that dossier a it is, has been and continues to be an egregious omission.
